The Heritage of Tiara Crafts
A craft older than
the words for it.
Tiara Crafts is the modern atelier of Skanda Metal Industries — a Mannargudi-rooted house of hereditary brass-casters whose techniques pre-date factories, machines, and even the modern map of India.
The Atelier Process
Four hands. Seven steps. No shortcuts.
The Wax Master
A single artisan sculpts the original model in beeswax — the only blueprint that will ever exist.
The Clay Encasement
Layer upon layer of river clay seals the wax. The mold is sun-cured for up to fourteen days.
The Pour
Heavy-alloy brass is melted in a coal-fired crucible and poured in a single, unbroken motion.
The Breaking
Once cool, the mold is hand-shattered. The piece emerges — singular, signed, unrepeatable.
